ALLEN WOOD is an attorney who has engaged in the general practice of law in Newton, North Carolina since 1977. His practice concentrates in representing Debtors in consumer bankruptcy cases.
Allen was born in Fayetteville, NC and graduated from Hoke County High School. He attended Wake Forest University where he received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politics in 1974. He then enrolled at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law and received a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with honors in 1977. He was thereafter admitted to the North Carolina State Bar and was sworn in by the Honorable William T Grist, Superior Court Judge, as a full time practicing attorney on September 8, 1977.
Allen is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association. He is also a member of the Catawba County Bar Association and served as its president in 1990-91. Allen is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of North Carolina, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina.
